Binding of Isaac-Rebirth

Ok, here's theory about the two new characters to be introduced in Rebirth. What if they're designed to work with two of the existing characters in the Co-Op mode? And as such have a Biblical connection to the existing characters?

If that was the case, the likely candidates would be

Adam (Teams up with Eve)
Delilah (Team up with Samson)
Abel (Teams up with Cain- but then, there's already an in-game item called Abel)

Those are the obvious ones. Maybe the Virgin Mary could team up with Magdelene, or Peter for Judas? Those ones are kind of tenuous, though. Jesus would probably wok for those two as well, but that'd be a bit weird.

Anyway, my thinking was these characters would either complement their partners, or even start with items that only worked in Co-Op (healing allies, etc.)

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Oh, could have Ishmael to work with Isaac, but I'm not really sure how a character would complement Vanilla Isaac.

There's also an item called Sister Maggy, but there's already Magdalene.

Also, I see Moses being a character. Maybe Abraham.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that Edmund wouldn't touch God or Jesus as playable characters or enemies, but I could be wrong.

That sort of implies any sort of coherent thought process on the part of Edmund McMillen.

In fairness, as is it's organised chaos, he has some idea.
